Lasts days in Morocco~ Jnane Tamsna

Can't believe its been almost two months here! Was nice to get back to Marrakech and have two days to get my things together and see more of the city before leaving.

Gary from the GDF has invited myself, Pomme from the GDF, and her friend to dine at his home and hotel Jnane Tamsna which he runs and owns with his wife. Its located in the historic palmerie oasis on the outskirts of the city. The whole experience was rather jarring and surreal to be in such luxury compared to the past weeks I've spent living in poorer and remote communities.

Had a lovely tour of the gardens before dinner- the estate is enormous. The grounds are full of date palm groves, with organic permaculture gardens and veggie patches, olive trees and more interspersed. Most of the food served is grown there. The dinner was delightful as we got to try some foods based on more traditional moroccan dishes, including an interesting millet dish, that have fallen out of fashion with the globalised and reductionary food system.

What a lovely last evening before flying back to England.
